Vegas was probably voted Least Likely to Settle Down and Raise a Family in high school. They have been a destination for singles and people wishing to escape the married life (or live one wild night before entering into the family life) for a long, long, time. As noted in this ConnPost.com article, Finding the kid-friendly Vegas, the “What happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas” campaign was clearly marketed away from families.
Vegas is perhaps the ONLY place on earth that is not trying desperately to get you and your kids to come there so that you can buy an extra couple of hotel beds, extra plates at the buffet and all the souvenirs for little Johnny and little Suzy. Still, families make there way to or through Vegas all the time, and while there they need something to do, other than trade escort cards (Awwww, Cool! You got the Jasmine McBoobsy rookie card!).
There’s Circus Circus, of course, but kinds know better. They’re artsier. They like Cirque Du Soleil. They don’t make scooters out of soap boxes anymore. They ride Razors. Correction: they roll up in Razors. But is Cirque necessarily family-oriented? Let’s take a couple blogs to discuss…
