Cirque Du Soleil Holds Firm

Although Cirque Du Soleil may have gotten an offer, owner Guy Laliberte isn’t selling.  The Cirque Du Soleil camp said to a Canadian news source, “”Cirque du Soleil is a very appealing company, and we are approached by many different individuals and organization on regular basis with these types of offers. Therefore, many rumors and speculations result from these conversations from time to time. In this case, it is just that, rumor and speculation.”

The statement comes after a British news source reported that investors from Dubai were offering a large sum to take over the famous show.  In the past, Cirque Du Soleil has fielded many offers for a takeover but has refused them all.  Laliberte is one of the founding members of Cirque Du Soleil and bought out his partner in 2001.

With the success the show has enjoyed, it is good to know that it won’t be changing anytime soon.  Whatever formula Cirque Du Soleil has been using since its birth in 1984, it is working.  The acrobatically amazing show proves to be a favorite no matter what city it is in.
