Cirque Du Soleil will honor its Quebec City’s 400th birthday with a special performance from October 17-19. The City was founded on July 3, 1608 when Samuel de Champlain started a fur-trading post there. The celebrations will start in July and continue in the following months. Other programs include a series of historic images projected on a big screen every night for over until August 24 and a film created specifically for the event called Infiniment Quebec.
Cirque Du Soleil got its start in Canada over 20 years ago, where is began as a few street performers. It has developed into the elaborate and breathtaking productions audiences around the world enjoy. Despite their unique approach to the circus, Cirque Du Soleil incorporates classic parts of the circus into every show like clowning, the tightrope and jugglers. They have both resident shows that are permanent fixtures in cities around the world as well as traveling shows. Their resident shows include the popular Las Vegas Shows O and Love, based on the music of the Beatles. The traveling shows often feature a tent reminiscent of the circuses of old. With only amazing performers and no animals, Cirque Du Soleil is in a class all its own. Get your Cirque Du Soleil tickets from StubHub.com.
