The critically lauded Saltimbanco by Cirque Du Soleil opens Wednesday in Kansas City. It will be held at the Sprint Center. Saltimbanco is named after the Italian phrase “saltare in banco,” which translates to “to jump on a bench.” The show boasts an urban setting and shows the diversity of the city. Some of the incredible acts include Chinese poles, Russian swing and trapeze.
Saltimbanco is one of Cirque Du Soleil’s popular traveling shows, and audiences have been racing for tickets at every location. It has many of the Cirque Du Soleil signatures like incredible, colorful costumes and an animal-free act. Cirque Du Soleil also has resident shows like Love, O and Zumanity in Las Vegas. The troupe originated in Canada with a few street performers and has turned into one of the most popular shows in the world.
The draw of Cirque Du Soleil lies in its ties to the old and innovative concept. While fans of the circus will still be able to see favorite aspects like clowning and jugglers, Cirque Du Soleil feels very little like a classic circus. The unbelievable acrobats and fantastic costuming are unlike anything out there. Get your Cirque Du Soleil tickets from StubHub.com.
