While Cirque Du Soleil reinvented the circus and boasts an animal-free production, a pair of canines may have helped turn Zumanity into the show it is and will bring Criss Angel: Believe into fruition. The furry friends are the two Skye terriers of artistic director Ria Martens. She chose to live in Las Vegas to be near the mountains and also to have a great place for her two terriers. She now spends her downtime on daily 90-minute walks with her canine companions and has found a great veterinarian in her area.
Martens worked as the creative director of the amazingly sensual and intricate show Zumanity. She has also done the same with the tour of Alegria. She has moved on to the next Cirque Du Soleil phenomenon, Criss Angel: Believe. The show will be at the Luxor and is set to open on September 12 of this year. This show is sure to be an interesting challenge for Martens as it combines the artistry of Cirque Du Soleil and the illusions of Angel. Luckily for Cirque Du Soleil, it looks like Martens loves Las Vegas and will be there for awhile to lend her extraordinary expertise.
