Zumanity Helps Support HRC

The cast of Cirque Du Soleil’s Zumanity is showing they can do more than just entertain an audience by appearing at the Human Rights Campaign “Summer Chic” gala in Chicago last weekend. A few of the dancers from Cirque Du Soleil’s most sensual production put on a show for the gala goers.  The gala spurred on those present to become more politically involved, especially as this year’s election approaches.  The group has already given its endorsement to Sen. Barack Obama, who also happens to be from Illinois.

The Human Rights Campaign has been working on bringing the issues of gay rights to light.  Keynote speaker and Chicago comedian Jane Lynch said in her speech, “We are not talking about special rights or excessive rights. We are talking about human rights. We have come so far and the tide is turning in this country. “

Zumanity is the perfect show to attend and support such an event.  The show is incredibly sensual and also makes the audience question everything they know about sexuality.  There are genderless as well as homosexual characters in the show, all of which explore a different side of the human zoo.  See the show live in Las Vegas by getting Cirque Du Soleil tickets from StubHub.com.
