This week was huge for Cirque du Soleil - not only did the company get a Guinness World Record on the 16th but having 119 people walk on Stilts outside downtown Disney in Orlando, but all across the globe the companies in specific areas were also participating in the event, allowing Orlando mayer and others to declare the 16th Cirque du Soleil day.
Meanwhile, Cirque du Soleil founder Guy Lalibertehas been getting his own spotlight, which he tends to do, when it was announced that he would soon not only be Canada’s first space tourist and probably the first artist one of the seven to fly into the air, but will also be getting his own star on Hollywood Blvd. One of 28 celebrities who will be given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2010, the Qeuebec billionaire and former fire-breather created the Cirque du SOleil company with a relatively small group in comparison to today’s sizes to see an explosition that is allowing him, among other things, to pay several million dollars to fly into space for a day (he will booard the Russian Soyuz this fall and reach the International Space Station).
If you want to see all the magic that actually creates the show, make Cirque du Soleil tickets you buy for this summer.
