Yuri’s Night is supporting the Poetic Social Mission event: Moving Stars and Earth for Water; the performance by Guy Laliberte, the found and CEO of Cirque du Soleil and next to travel in space, will broadcast live Frida, October 9th at 8pm while he travels to the International Space Station. He will be holding an event in support of One Drop Foundation, his charity from two years ago that pledges of $100 million must and can fill the dream ‘water for all, all for water.” The performance will also incorporate U2, Al Gore, Peter Gabriel, Shakira, Salma Hayek and others in the ground breaking performance spanning six continents, reports a press release.
“Yuri’s Night has long been about using the power of art, music, and space to inspire the world with what is possible,” Yuri’s Night founder Loretta Hidalgo Whitesides said. “We are thrilled to see Laliberte using art and space to empower millions to make a difference for something as important as our planet’s water.” The special chat will allow international webcast together; Laliberte shoots off into space on September 30th as the Canada’s first private space explorer on the Russian Soyuz rocket.
